That in order to trust in what the Lord has for me, I first need to fully surrender instead of clinging on to the world
I was asked this during an interview, I think. Or maybe it was just that a friend asked me this. Either way, it was a prompt for reflection that I need to be constantly processing in the years and years to come.
What are you pulling me toward?
This painting that is so dear to me is the image that comes to mind. "What truth has been shaping you" sounds so intense and severe. But it's more like this painting for me. It's more like you pulling my hand gently and guiding me toward something that draws me deeper into the wilderness of your heart. Even if the path through the woods is treacherous at times, it's also magical and wonderful and full of things like squirrels and chipmunks and lizards and lightning bugs.
